Nominations, Elections for CDGC Board of Directors
There are three positions on the CDGC Board open for election this year, serving a two-year term (the other four Board positions open in 2020). The three Board members whose terms are expiring: Patricia Sisco (not seeking reelection), Matt Cheney (seeking reelection), Mark Huether (seeking reelection).
This is last call for nominations. If you or someone you know wants to be considered, be prepared to complete a short questionnaire (below) to be shared with membership, indicating the skills, knowledge or passion that qualify the candidate for a Board position.
Nominations must be submitted to Board@CharlotteDGC.com before 5 pm, Friday, January 25. Candidates’ bios will be posted and the election opened on Monday, Jan. 28, with voting to continue through midnight, Friday, Feb. 1.
Both 2018 and 2019 Club members are eligible to vote. New Board positions will be seated at the Feb. 6 Club Meeting.

Members Needed for Course Teams
Another chance to help your sport comes on the heels of the Club’s very successful Jan. 10th Course Director Seminar, which attracted 43 members. They saw Mark Huether’s PowerPoint presentation (attached) and engaged in spirited discussions on how we can make our courses the heart of an even better disc golf destination. We are currently forming Course Teams to help with maintenance and playability on the Club’s 17 courses. If you’d like to help, reply to Board@CharlotteDGC.com with your contact info.
2019 CDGC Memberships
Our Nevin Tag Battle last Saturday got the 2019 membership year off to a great start with 92 members participating and several dozen more coming by to pick up their 2019 member packets. If you haven’t yet renewed, do it now on Disc Golf United (cut/paste: http://www.discgolfunited.com/disc-golf-tournaments/event-detail.cfm/tourn_id/5895) or at any Club event.
Thanks for being a CDGC member.
